A four member team from AFD will visit KMRL on 29th July, Tuesday. Mrs. Priscille DE CONINCK and Mr. Arnaud DAUPHIN, project managers from the sustainable and transport division (AFD Paris) will lead a supervision mission with Mr. Cheikh DIA and Mr. Gautier KOHLER, project officers at the New Delhi AFD office.
AFD team is likely to review the various project components in progress. The other objective is to introduce the new project manager in charge of Kochi metro project at AFD headquarter, Mrs. Priscille de Coninck, who recently replaced Mr. Xavier Hoang and make her familiarise with the project.
The team will conduct a site visit and meet with main stakeholders of the project including the members of Kochi UMTA.They are also likely to review the progress of work, the procurement plan under process, and the modalities of transfer of funds.
AFD is developing a Technical Assistance program, which is expected to be launched by end of 2014 with the assistance ofFrench Embassy in India on grant basis amounting for 8,00,000 Euros. The mission would discuss about the content and the implementation structure of the technical assistance program, which will mainly based on the Kochi UMTA roadmap and the KMRL operation and maintenance strategy.
The mission will also review the various study under progress like environmental and social impact analysis study, the TOD study, and R&R policy

This is the second mission of AFD after signing the loan agreement.
