A four member team from AFD – Agence Française de Développement visited Kochi Metro Rail construction sites to review the various project components in progress.The team comprised of Mrs. Priscille DE CONINCK and Mr. Arnaud DAUPHIN, project managers from the sustainable and transport division (AFD Paris) Mr. Cheikh DIA and Mr. Gautier KOHLER, project officers at the New Delhi AFD office.
“The first installment of French loan of 1500 crore for the first phase development of Kochi Metro Rail will be obtained in September”, said Elias George IAS, MD, KMRL. The amount of first installment will be around 160 crore rupees. Along with this #KochiMetro has sought funds from the AFD – Agence Française de Développement, the French development agency to fund the metro phase II extensions to Angamaly, Kakkanad and Fort Kochi. AFD team visited #KMRL on July 29th 2014, Tuesday and said they are very satisfied with the progress of Kochi Metro Rail Project. The supervision mission was led by Priscille De Connick and Arnaud Dauphin, project managers form the sustainable and transport divison of AFD, Paris.
